This painting, ‘Always Above’ started out as something completely different. A previous painting titled ‘Congregation’ which I painted in 2020 in the midst of lockdown was ready for a new life.
The Wedge Tailed Eagle represents strength, intelligence and dignity and lent itself naturally to the colors and hues of the desert already represented on the canvas.
Through this process I was able to honor the message of my original painting which celebrates the joys of fellowshipping together with friends and family and bring a new message of hope to the canvas.
Always above is a study in taking something old breathing new life into it. It is my hope that when you see it you realize that you are designed to soar, ‘Always Above’ the circumstances of life.
